How To Prepare For Spring Break

Spring break is the time of the year that all college students look forward to. With midterms coming to an end, it is time to prepare for all the crazy shenanigans that are bound to happen. Whether you are going to the beach or just to the river, I have a few tips on how to prepare for spring break for you!

Get a spray tan

Technically it is still winter even though it is almost 80 degrees during the days, but I still don’t have that summer glow that I want. A convenient and risk-free alternative to bed and sun tanning is spray tanning. San Marvelous, located downtown in San Marcos, now offers spray tanning done by professionals. They use a solution that is 100% vegan, nut and allergen free! Walk ins are welcome or call to make an appointment TODAY to get that natural, glowing bronze you need!

2. Squats…. I thought you said shots?

If you’ve already been working out and eating good, keep doing you! But if you’re anything like me, it is hard to find motivation to go to the gym or even eat healthy most of the time. Let spring break be your motivation; you will look amazing in that new swimsuit you got! Throw the fast food away and do some squats and you will have a spring break bod in no time!

3. Pack accordingly

There are a few things that will be essential on this trip. For instance, booze, flasks, hats, swimsuits, fanny packs and snacks are all essential items for your trip. First things first, make sure you drink plenty of water. The most important thing to remember is to stay hydrated. Along with water, don’t forget sunscreen. You don’t want to be miserable by the end of the first day being sunburned.  Like I always say, it is better to overpack than to not have enough stuff.

4. Save money!

Listen to Lil Dicky and save dat money! Spring break is an expensive vacation, especially if you are a broke college student. Start saving as early as you can. Splitting the cost of gas and hotels between a group of friends is helpful. Start budgeting your money early and try to only spend money on the necessities and you will be fine!

5. Don’t stress and HAVE FUN

Don’t spend too much time stressing out about planning spring break. This will be one of the most fun times during your college career! Before you know it you’ll be on a beach or anywhere around the world with your friends!
