Welcome back Bobcats! Hope everyone had cozy Winter break. Still trying to adjust back to school schedule? Have no fear! We got you. Research has shown morning people tend to be happier and healthier. Here are some helpful tips we've found to become more of a morning person.
1. Sleep Early
The earlier you go to bed, the less of the struggle you will have waking up. Have a set time for going to bed and try to get all the last-minute things done within the hour before. It's all about time management. If you don't manage your time well, you'll be staying up late finishing work instead of sleeping.
2. Set Your Clothes Out
Lay your clothes out the night before class. You’re heard this before and that’s because it works! Make a commitment to picking out your clothes the night before and save yourself time in the morning. More time for hair and make up! #yes
3. Eat Breakfast
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day that most people skip. If you wake up early, you'll have enough time for a good breakfast, opposed to a quick grab & go.
4. Be Loyal To Your Alarm Clock
It's ok to hit the snooze button once or twice, BUT make a commitment to yourself to avoid the snooze button the usual ten times per morning. That extra sleep between “snoozes” is only making you more tired. Hop out of bed and jump around a little bit. It get's your blood pumping and ready to take on the world
5. Coffee is BAE
Pick your favorite flavor. These days, coffee get's us more excited and is the adult version of kids waking up on Christmas Day. (Let's be real, the older we get, we just buy ourselves everything) Set your coffeemaker to brew 20 minutes before you wake up, and the fresh aroma will likely lure you right out of bed. If coffee is not your thing, perhaps a fresh green juice will do the trick.
